Singer and songwriter Halsey is expanding her career and adding screenwriter to her resume.

The platinum-selling artist is currently developing a dark comedy TV series at Amazon Prime Video.

Halsey, whose given name is Ashley Frangipane, is set to serve as the creator, writer, and executive producer of “Bloodlust” for Amazon but will not star in the show.

Ti West is attached to direct and executive produce, with Mark Friedman (“Severance,” “Dispatches From Elsewhere”) onboard as executive producer and showrunner.

Anthony Li, Halsey’s manager, also executive produces. Amazon MGM Studios will produce.

Plot details are being kept under wraps. The project has been in development at Amazon for some time with Halsey, Li, and Friedman attached, but no details have emerged until now.

The series reunites Halsey and West. West recently wrote, directed, and produced the horror feature “MaXXXine,” the third film in the “X” franchise, with Halsey appearing in the role of Tabby Martin.

Halsey’s other acting credits include appearing as herself in “A Star Is Born” as well as the Showtime series “Roadies” and the animated series “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?”.

She has also played roles in the films “Americana,” “Sing 2,” and “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.”

Halsey, of course, is best known for her musical career, having released the hit studio albums “Badlands,” “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” “Manic,” “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” and most recently “The Great Impersonator.”

West also wrote and directed the other two films in the “X” series, “X” and “Pearl.”

He has also written and directed horror films like “The House of the Devil,” “Trigger Man,” “The Innkeepers,” and “In the Valley of Violence.”
