Halsey Splits from Alev Aydin, Plans to Co-Parent Son

American singer Halsey and her partner of five years, Alev Aydin, have called it quits.

According to court documents, the songstress seeking full custody of their 1-year-old son, Ender Ridley. Halsey filed for full physical custody on April 5 and request joint legal custody and joint expenses with visitation rights.

Sources said the couple’s decision to break up was “amicable”, and they are committed to healthily co-parenting their one-year-old son.

“The split with them is totally amicable and they are co-parenting, they are going to raise their son together,” an insider close to the 28-year-old said Tuesday.

The source explained that Halsey just had to file that way because they are going on tour in the summer and it’s a formality to allow the singer to freely travel with their son as a touring artist.

The “Closer” singer announced the couple were expecting their first child in January 2021, while simultaneously confirming their relationship with the 40-year-old.

“Surprise!” the singer captioned a series of topless, baby bump-baring photos at the time. Aydin, who was tagged in the post, also shared the photos to his Instagram Story before commenting, “Heart so full, I love you sweetness.”

Less than six months later, they welcomed their bundle of joy, with Halsey calling it “the most ‘rare’ and euphoric birth.”
