Universal Pictures unveiled Wednesday the first trailer for the highly-anticipated movie “Halloween Ends”.

The movie stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle, and James Jude Courtney.

The footage promises an ultimate confrontation between Laurie Strode (Curtis) and her maniacal brother Michael Myers that will only leave one of them standing.

The movie picks up the aftermath of the events of 2018’s “Halloween“ and 2021’s “Halloween Kills“.

The 2021 movie saw Laurie mostly restricted to a hospital bed as she was still recovering from her injuries from Halloween. It also saw an absolute bloodbath at the hands of Myers.

The two movies took place on the same night, similarly to the original 1978 movie and its first sequel.

"Halloween Ends" is set four years after "Halloween Kills" and features Laurie living with her granddaughter Allyson (Matichak) and working on her memoir when a murder begins a new string of terror.

The movie jumps from Halloween night in 2018 to the present day in 2022 and deals with the issues of the present day, including the pandemic.

David Gordon Green is also returning to Haddonfield along with Curtis to direct his trilogy capper that started with "Halloween" and continued with "Halloween Kills".

Universal Pictures, Miramax, and Blumhouse are behind the project, in association with Rough House Pictures. Malek Akkad, Jason Blum, and Bill Block produce.

“Halloween Ends” hits the theaters on October 14.
