Egyptian actress Hala Shiha has apologized to her fellow actors over her offensive remarks about acting.

This comes after Shiha met the head of the Acting Professions Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki.

In a statement, she stressed that she respects and appreciates all Egyptian actors.

"Art will remain a sublime, true and influential message, through which those working target the conscience of every viewer", Shiha added.

In an interview, Zaki shared Shiha has expressed her desire to return to acting.

He stressed that the decision of her return is not up to him alone and noted he will also take the option of other actors on the matter of her return.

“The actors are tolerant and she's our beloved 'daughter'," Zaki pointed out.

Zaki added, "She contacted me and told me that she was coming soon, and needed to meet me. I told her we'll talk when she comes back.”

Shiha took to Instagram to express her gratitude to Zaki for being supportive and backbone to every Egyptian creative and human being.

She continued: "I went through four years in my life, which was among the most difficult, but with every moment of pain I went through, I learned a lot and increased my strength and determination to get out of the adversities that are inevitable in life."

Shiha also thanked her colleagues in the acting field and fans for their support.

"Thanks to all my colleagues who supported me, I love them all and wish them success as well as to my beautiful fans and everyone who spoke about me well and understood what I went through and thought well of me,”.

She also apologized for her actions in the past period, saying: "I apologize for every word I said during a critical time in my life. I never intended to offend anyone and only carry love and wish the best to everyone."

In 2021, Zaki announced Shiha has been banned from the syndicate, and her membership was permanently suspended.

The decision came after she conflicted with Tamer Hosny over the 2021 film "Mesh Ana" (This Is Not Me).

As soon as the film’s promotion began, Shiha wrote a post wishing the film crew luck but declared that she was not part of the film because when shot the film she was a different person from who she currently was.

She did not attend the special screening of the film.

At the time, the actress was newlywedded to Egyptian preacher Moez Masoud and her projects have since decreased.

This was not the first time the membership of Shiha had been revoked. She was previously suspended from the Syndicate after she retired from acting for the first time.

The Syndicate had granted her a temporary permit to resume acting, however, after her recent remarks, it was decided to write her off from the Syndicate permanently.
