Greece and Israel signed the biggest defense deal between both countries on Sunday aiming to strengthen their mutual ties.
The $1.65 billion deal includes founding a training center for the Greek air forces and it will follow the structure of the Israeli flight academy, in addition to supplying Greece with 10 M-346 military practice aircraft.
Moreover, the deal aimed to upgrade the air devices of the Greek air forces including practicing, simulators, and logistics.

“I am certain that (this program) will upgrade the capabilities and strengthen the economies of Israel and Greece and thus the partnership between our two countries will deepen on the defense, economic and political levels,” Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz revealed.
The contract was signed on the sidelines of a meeting between the foreign ministers of UAE, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel in Cyprus to examining widening the horizons of mutual cooperation between the four countries.
