Greece’s pavilion, designed as an ancient Athenian ship, symbolizes the flow of ideas and translations between Greek and Arabic cultures. It features literary exhibitions, manuscripts, and a tribute to Nobel laureates George Seferis and Odysseas Elytis, centered around an olive tree representing creativity and continuity.
As Guest of Honor, Greece presents a vibrant program of literature, art, music, and gastronomy under the theme “Greek Literature: The Long Journey.” Papathanassiou emphasized that the participation aims to build lasting cultural partnerships with Arab institutions and celebrate the enduring dialogue between Mediterranean civilizations.
