In a landmark cultural event, Egypt on Friday hosted the world-renowned “The Grand Ball” for the first time, bringing one of the most exclusive royal galas outside its traditional home in Monaco to the majestic Abdeen Palace in Cairo. The event was organized by Noble Monte-Carlo under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Considered one of the world’s most luxurious royal gatherings, The Grand Ball is categorized among the Ultra Luxury Royal Events, drawing distinguished figures from royal families, nobility, diplomacy, and high society around the world.

The Egyptian edition marked the grand highlight of the fifth edition of the global “Hope Givers” campaign, which runs in Cairo from November 7 to 9 under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority.

On Thursday, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) hosted the opening of the closing events, while the campaign’s final ceremony will take place on November 9 at the New Administrative Capital Opera House.

This year’s Grand Ball featured a distinguished royal and diplomatic guest list, including H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, H.S.H. Prince Joachim Murat, and official representatives from the Monaco royal palace, alongside senior government officials from France, Europe, and Egypt, as well as leading cultural and public figures.

As part of the broader Hope Givers initiative, the museum also held the International Masterclass on Friday in cooperation with global institutions such as Better World Fund and Listen2Hearn, focusing on humanitarian and health-related causes.

First launched in 1954 in Monaco under the patronage of the late Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, The Grand Ball has since been held annually under the supervision of Prince Albert II. The event celebrates art, culture, and refined taste while promoting humanitarian and charitable efforts worldwide.

Bringing this storied royal gala to Cairo’s Abdeen Palace, one of the most iconic royal landmarks in the world, highlights Egypt’s growing role as a global hub for culture, luxury tourism, and international cooperation rooted in heritage and humanity.
