Government Imposes Anti-Coronavirus Strict Measures

Dr.Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, chaired the cabinet meeting today,  announcing new  measures to confront the emerging Covid-19 pandemic. He said that there are clear instructions for all ministries and relevant authorities in this regard, to avoid the full closure of facilities, which clearly affects the citizens.

Madbouly directed the Ministers of Health and Higher Education to allocate a sufficient number of hospitals for isolation to provide the necessary treatment for those infected with covid-19 and to provide the necessary oxygen devices to all hospitals, In addition, he canceled the New Year’s Eve celebrations as part of the precautionary measures, to counter the Coronavirus.

Earlier, the Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Abdel Fattah Al-Assy, underlined the need to ban all cultural and touristic events or any celebrations on New Year’s Eve to avoid mass gatherings.

He also called for the strict implementation of the precautionary measures previously taken in the past period, while taking punitive measures against restaurants, cafes and hotels that do not adhere to implementing such measures.
