"Gotham Knights" New Footage Released

The CW has unveiled a new teaser for its newest DC TV entry, "Gotham Knights".

The series focuses on members of the Bat-family and other DC Comics characters.

It picks up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his rebellious adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forging an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies—Duela Dent (Olivia Rose Keegan), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara)—when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.

The renegade band of misfits fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.

The cast also stars Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelly, Rahart Adams as Brody March, Damon Dayoub as Lincoln March, Lauren Stamile as Rebecca March, and Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown.

It also features "Supernatural" star Misha Collins playing the role of District Attorney Harvey Dent, who will eventually become Two-Face.

The new footage just like other trailers for the series features Harvey Dent telling Bruce's son Turner Hayes that his father has been murdered. Harvey later informs Turner that the supposed killers have been arrested.

However, the computer in the Batcave shows that someone framed Turner for setting up his father's murder. After Turner's arrest, he teams up with his father's other alleged killers to clear their names and find out who really murdered Batman. 

Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, Gotham Knights is scripted by the Batwoman trio of Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams.

Fiveash, Stoteraux, and Abrams also serve as executive producers alongside David Madden, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

"Gotham Knights" is produced by Warner Bros. and should not be confused with the upcoming game of the same name, which also features the story of Bruce Wayne’s death, nor is meant to be a Batwoman or Arrowverse spinoff.

Since 2012, the network has become one of the homes for Warner Bros.' DC properties as executive producer Greg Berlanti's Arrowverse has continued to expand yearly. Almost every year, the CW has released one show after another.

"Gotham Knights" is slated to premiere on The CW on March 14.
