Global Iranian Mobilization Breaks the Regime’s Isolation and Demonstrates That the Democratic Alternative Has Become an International Cause
As political executions and systematic repression continue to escalate inside Iran, international solidarity with the Iranian people and their organized resistance is expanding across the globe. Recent days have witnessed a broad wave of demonstrations, exhibitions, sit-ins, and public campaigns organized by Iranian communities and supporters of freedom throughout Europe, North America, and Australia. These activities have sent a clear message that the struggle of the Iranian people is no longer an isolated domestic issue but an international cause linked to human rights, regional stability, and democratic values.
Mehdi Oghbai, member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stated:
“What we have witnessed over the past days in dozens of cities around the world confirms a fundamental reality: the Iranian regime has failed to isolate the Iranian people from the international community, just as it has failed to silence the voices of victims and their families through executions, imprisonment, and intimidation.”
He added, “Following the January 2026 uprising, the regime attempted to impose a wall of fear across the country. Instead, it found that the message of that uprising had reached international capitals. Today, Iranians and supporters of freedom across the world are raising their voices in defense of the Iranian people’s right to freedom, democracy, and an end to political executions.”
Oghbai emphasized: “The exhibitions, demonstrations, and protest actions held in France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Australia, and many other countries are not merely symbolic events. They are part of a growing international movement exposing the regime’s crimes and shedding light on the reality inside Iran’s prisons.”
He continued: “The common message of these activities is that the policy of appeasement has failed. The international community must stand with the Iranian people rather than continue placing its hopes in reforming a regime that has proven, over more than four decades, that it is incapable of reform.”
Oghbai further noted: “The unprecedented increase in executions during recent months reflects the regime’s fear of society and of the growing role of Resistance Units inside Iran. The more repression intensifies, the broader international support for the Iranian people’s struggle becomes.”
He stressed: “The active participation of Iranian communities abroad demonstrates that the demand for democratic change is not limited to Iran’s borders. It has become a shared aspiration among millions who believe that ending religious dictatorship is essential for peace, stability, and progress in the region.”
Concluding his remarks, Oghbai stated: “The major Iranian gathering in Paris on June 20, 2026, will be a significant political and historic milestone. Tens of thousands of Iranians, together with hundreds of parliamentarians and international dignitaries, are expected to participate in order to send a clear message to the world: the Iranian people reject both the dictatorship of the Shah and the dictatorship of the Supreme Leader, and remain committed to a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state, equality, free elections, and popular sovereignty.”
