In an effort to support serious arts and preserve musical and spiritual heritage, the Cultural Development Fund at the Ministry of Culture will present a concert by the "Rahat al-Arwah" (Comfort of Souls) ensemble. The performance is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, at 7:30 PM at the Ghouri Dome Creativity Center in Al-Azhar Street.

"Rahat al-Arwah" is a specialized ensemble dedicated to the art of religious chanting (Inshad) and Sufi supplications (Ibtihalat). Their performances are characterized by disciplined collective vocals and the presentation of selected texts from spiritual heritage, all while maintaining the authentic melodic modes (Maqamat) and rhythmic structures unique to this art form. The ensemble is led by the chanter Osama Allam, whose performance style focuses on the spiritual dimension of chanting while adhering to the traditional school of the craft.

The program will feature a curated selection of Sufi heritage works and Prophetic praises (Mada’ih). The concert aims to provide an artistic experience that elevates aesthetic taste and revives one of the most significant forms of spiritual expression in Arab culture.

This event is part of the Cultural Development Fund’s broader program to make traditional and spiritual arts accessible to a wide audience, support specialized ensembles, and activate the role of its creativity centers. This initiative reaffirms the Fund's commitment to preserving the Egyptian cultural identity and enhancing the presence of authentic arts within the contemporary cultural scene.
