Ghada Shalaby Holds Meetings with Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia's Ambassadors

In a bid to promote Egypt's tourism, Vice Minister for Tourism at The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Ghada Shalaby met with the ambassadors of Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia to discuss strengthening Egypt's positions in the medical tourism landscape.

They reviewed how can Egypt benefit from the experiences of these pioneering countries in the field of medical tourism, in addition to reviving the path of the Holy Family in Egypt project.

During these meetings, Shalaby emphasized that Egypt is well-known for its excellence and uniqueness in the tourism medical field, referring to its natural wells like Siwa Oasis and Oyoun Musa which have therapeutic properties that help in healing.

In the same connection, she affirmed Egypt's keenness to preserve natural reserves and improve its reserves, and organize training for tourism workers to create cadres in this field.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Romania in Cairo H.E. Cornel Alecse explained that Egypt is one of the most important destinations favored by the Romanian tourist because of its attractive tourism potentials, affirming his country's readiness to cooperate with Egyptian authorities in the field of medical tourism.

For his part, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Cairo H.E. Deyan Angelov Katratchev, who recently visited the Giza pyramids praised Egypt's ambitious plan to grow its tourism industry.

In turn, H.E. Lenka Mihalikova, Ambassador of Slovakia in Cairo, the ambassador pointed out that Egypt has great and unique tourism elements such as deserts, picturesque beaches, and other factors that attract Slovak tourists.
