Egyptian actress Ghada Adel is set to collaborate with singer-actor Hamada Helal in season 5 of the TV series "Al Maddah" for the first time in a decade and a half.
The supernatural show marks the first collaboration between the pair in 19 years. They previously collaborated on the 2005 rom-com film "Eyal Habiba."
Season one of the series premiered in 2021 and spawned three seasons: "Al Maddah: Ostouret Al Wadi" (2022), "Al Maddah: Ostouret El Ishq" (2023), and "Al Maddah: Ostouret El Awda" (2024).
The series followed Saber (Helal), who was adopted and raised by an imam of the mosque (Bedir), as he harnesses his religious learning for bad deeds that lead to many ordeals.
Season 4 of "Al Maddah" focused on Saber's battle with the supernatural intensifies when he and his new friend, Sameeh, respond to a distress call from a Sa'idi family.
It featured the return of previous cast members including Heba Magdi, Khaled Zaki, Khaled Sarhan, Donia Abdalaziz, Hanan Suleiman, Sahar Al Sayegh, Tamer Shaltout, Mohamed Ezz, Yousra El-Lozy, and Hala Al Saeed. It also featured newcomers Fathy Abdel Wahab, Diab, Mai Selim, Ashraf Zaki, and Safaa Galal.
Ahmed Samir Farag directed the series from a screenplay by Amin Gamal, Walid Abu Al-Majd, and Sherif Yousry.
Season 5 of "Al Maddah" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
