Egyptian actress Rana Raeis was hospitalized on Saturday for an exploratory procedure after experiencing severe non-bleeding following a miscarriage.

Raeis had been suffering complications after losing her first child four months ago, and non-stop bleeding that has worsened in the past four days.

On Monday, Zeinab Hassan, Raeis’ mother, shared a health update on her daughter, noting that she had left the operating room and was in fine condition, following the treatment protocol under medical care.

In a phone-in with "Al Nahar" TV Channel, Hassan added that her daughter had not been in good health for a long time.

"Rana had a miscarriage about four months ago, and since then, she has been suffering from recurring health complications. We were constantly following up with doctors, but the symptoms kept recurring in a worrying manner," she continued.

Hassan noted that the family initially did not want to announce the details of the crisis to protect their daughter's privacy, noting that they chose to remain silent and limit themselves to medical follow-up away from the spotlight.

She continued, "About four days ago, Rana felt severe pain and cramps that she couldn't bear. We had to take her immediately to the hospital. The doctors decided to give her a quick anesthesia, then explained that her condition required an urgent endoscopy due to severe bleeding."

Hassan added that the bleeding was unusual, extending to her liver, prompting the medical team to urgently admit her to the operating room.

The actress' procedure took approximately six continuous hours, and her condition was described as "extremely critical."

Raeis' mother emphasized that the family chose to remain discreet about what happened during the first hours of the crisis.

"We didn't want to inform anyone or promote the matter on social media, because my daughter's life is more important than anything else. We have not and will not trade on her health or exploit her ordeal for media exposure."

Hassan extended her gratitude to the medical team treating her daughter, noting that they made tremendous efforts to save her life.

She also asked her daughter's fans to continue praying for her until she fully recovers and gets back to her career soon.

During a phone-in with "Al Nahar" TV Channel, Dr. Sameh Hussein, Raeis' treating doctor, explained that the actress had been suffering from severe, persistent pain in her abdomen and pelvis for four days. However, the pain increased significantly on the fourth day, prompting her to quickly see Dr. Sherif El-Farjani, who performed urgent tests and an ultrasound.

He added that the initial examination revealed a suspected ovarian torsion, as well as signs of internal bleeding, which necessitated her immediate transfer to the hospital under his supervision for immediate follow-up.

Hussein continued, "As soon as Rana arrived at the hospital, we decided to intervene using a laparoscope to accurately determine the source of the bleeding. During the examination, it became clear that the bleeding was not limited to the pelvic area but had extended to the liver, making the situation more serious and requiring immediate surgical intervention."

He emphasized that the medical team exerted a double effort in the operating room, with the surgery lasting approximately six continuous hours, during which the bleeding was controlled and the resulting complications treated.

Hussein noted that the actress is out of danger, but she will remain under close observation in the hospital for the next few hours to ensure her health is stable and that no further complications arise.

He added, "Thank God, the operation succeeded in stopping the bleeding, and Rana's condition is currently largely stable, and we are monitoring her closely."

"Despite the seriousness of the situation and the complexity of the operation, Rana is able to give birth again naturally, and there is nothing preventing her from leading a normal life after she is fully recovered.

On May 5, Raeis got married to Yousry Ali, her childhood friend and the love of her life in Cairo, amid the attendance of her family and close friends, including several of her celebrity friends.
