The Egyptian Actor's Syndicate provided Wednesday a health update about renowned Egyptian actor and director Mohamed Sobhi.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Syndicate refuted the ongoing rumors about Sobhi’s health and death, affirming that he is in stable health and receiving the necessary medical care.
It called on the public about the importance of accuracy and not being swayed by rumors that confuse them and the families of actors.
The Syndicate also stressed that it is the only official body authorized to issue statements related to its members, calling on all media outlets and social media users to verify information before publishing or circulating it.
Furthermore, Sobhi’s official page on social media confirmed that he is in good health and that the rumors circulating about a deterioration in his health are completely unfounded.
The page administrator explained that he personally visited Sobhi and was doing well, noting that he had undergone medical examinations and is expected to return to his home in a few days.
In a related context, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to follow up on the acclaimed actor's health condition and to provide him with all the necessary medical care.
Sisi also tasked the minister with preparing a detailed report on Sobhi’s health condition and continuously monitoring his case.
Born on March 3, 1948, Sobhi is one of the most prominent stars in the Arab world. He has contributed to numerous important and entertaining films and television works, in addition to his impressive theatrical productions.
