German Foreign Minister (FM) Heiko Maas called on Monday for saving the 2015 nuclear deal signed between Iran and world powers, which he said was in Tehran's interest.
Addressing the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, Maas hinted at U.S. President Joe Biden's readiness to rejoin the agreement, adding, "It is in Iran's interest to change course now before the agreement is irreparably damaged."
He added that Germany expects "full compliance, full transparency, and full cooperation" from Iran with the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) whose chief Rafael Grossi returned Sunday from a trip to Tehran.
