Lionsgate unveiled Wednesday the final trailer for Gerard Butler's action movie "Plane".
The movie follows an airplane pilot who is forced to emergency land due to a storm and discovers that he escaped from a natural danger to a human one.
He and the passengers are caught in the middle of a war-torn Philipino nation, with gunmen ready to take them hostage.
As officials set a plan to get them to safety, the pilot teams up with a fugitive passenger to rescue the passengers from the militia.
Filmmaker Jean François Richet directed the movie from a screenplay by J.P. Davis and Charles Cumming, the latter makes his feature film writing debut by adapting his best-selling novel.
The movie was first announced in 2019 but took a little time to take off, with the COVID-19 pandemic certainly playing a part in it.
"Plane" hits theaters on January 13.
