This initiative aims to celebrate the cultural diversity of Cairo, recognized as the largest urban center in both Africa and the Middle East.
This event is part of the activities associated with the 12th World Urban Forum, which Egypt is set to host from November 4 to 8.
The opening ceremony featured notable attendees, including Ana Claudia Rosbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program; Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority; Dr. Ismail Serageldin, former Director of the Modern Library of Alexandria; Ms. Rania Hedaya, Regional Representative for Arab States at the United Nations; and Mr. Ahmed Rizk, Director of the Egypt Office of the United Nations Human Settlements.
