After starring together on HBO’s hugely popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones", Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are set to reunite on the Gothic horror movie "The Dreadful".
It is written and helmed by Natasha Kermani (Lucky, V/H/S/85) and is set against the backdrop of the War of the Roses.
"The Dreadful" follows Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen, who live a solitary, harsh life on the outskirts of society. But when a man (Harington) from their past returns, he will set off a sequence of events that become a turning point for Anne.
In addition to Turner, producers on the movie include Redwire Pictures/Tunnel’s Luke Daniels, as well as Storyboard Media’s Patrick Muldoon and Patrick Hibler, and Lucas Jarach. Greg Lauritano also produces under his Black Magic banner.
The pic is launching sales at EFM through UTA Independent Film Group and Film Bridge International. Film Bridge International is repping foreign sales, with UTA Independent Film Group handling domestic.
On "Game of Thrones", based on George R. R. Martin's fantasy novels, Turner played Sansa Stark, with Harington as the Night’s Watch’s Jon Snow. Both scored Emmy nominations for their performances, among other accolades.
More recently, Turner has been seen in Netflix’s "Do Revenge" and Max’s crime drama "The Staircase", among other projects. Harington, meanwhile, has starred in Apple’s "Extrapolations" and Marvel’s "Eternals".
