Well-known Businessman Mohamed Abou El Enein has announced that he will run for the complementary elections in Giza on the list of Future of the Nation Party.

Abou El Enein was chosen to be the party’s deputy head for the affairs of the prosecution councils.

“It’s a great honor that Abou El Enein has become a leading member of Future of the Nation Party,” said Essam Hilal, Secretary of the party.

Hilal added that a large electoral campaign to support the party’s candidate, Abou El Enein, is being prepared.

“Abou El Enein enjoys a huge popularity among the Giza constituency’s people,” he noted.

Few days ago, dozens of Giza’s residents headed to Abou El Enein’s house; asking him to run for the complementary elections after the seat of deputy Mohamed Badawi Desouki met his death earlier.

The meeting included a large number of the people of the Giza district and the presence of a number of members of the House of Representatives. They all encouraged him to take that step thanks to his long experience in the parliamentary life, as well as his connections with the people of his district.

On his part, the business tycoon greeted the people of Giza and thanked them for their warm feelings.

The owner of Cleopatra group asserted that exercising politics and parliamentary activities had been ruled out from his mind several years ago.

“Industry development and assisting Egypt to be a major industrial country has been my greatest goal,” he said.

In other regard, the five-year life of the current parliament will come to an end on 9 January 2021. In line with Article 106 of the constitution, elections to form a new parliament should be held within the 60 days preceding 9 January 2021. This means that elections shall be held in November 2020.
