After industrialist and business tycoon Mohamed Abou El Enein announced his willing to run for the complementary elections of the House of Representatives in the Giza constituency, a state of joy and happiness prevailed among the people of Giza Governorate, southern Great Cairo.

Abou El Enein’s candidacy decision is deemed a response to the people’s requests as the Giza’s residents urged him to be their representative in the parliament.

In the meantime, Abou El Enein has been appointed as deputy head of the "Future of the Nation" party.

Few days ago, dozens of Giza’s residents headed to Abou El Enein’s house; asking him to run for the complementary elections after the seat of deputy Mohamed Badawi Desouki who met his death earlier.

The meeting included a large number of the people of the Giza district and the presence of a number of members of the House of Representatives. They all encouraged him to take that step thanks to his long experience in the parliamentary life, as well as his connections with the people of his district.

The people affirmed their desire and need for those powerful persons who strongly represent them in the parliament.

On his part, the business tycoon greeted the people of Giza and thanked them for their warm feelings.

The owner of Cleopatra group asserted that exercising politics and parliamentary activities had been ruled out from his mind several years ago.

“Industry development and assisting Egypt to be a major industrial country has been my greatest goal,” Abou El Enein said.

In other regard, the five-year life of the current parliament will come to an end on 9 January 2021. In line with Article 106 of the constitution, elections to form a new parliament should be held within the 60 days preceding 9 January 2021. This means that elections shall be held in November 2020.
