"Friends" reunion special will finally be filmed next week.
The HBO Max special reunites Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer on a Warner Bros. soundstage.
The creators of the show, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, are also set to be part of the reunion, which will film on the show’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, California.
The cast reunion was originally set to film in March 2020, only to be delayed multiple times amid the coronavirus pandemic. Perry tweeted in November that the special would tape in March.
The show, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 and ended in 2004, still remains one of the most popular TV shows in reruns.
“Friends” reunion special was initially set to help launch WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, HBO Max, in May 2020 but the plan to film it has been repeatedly delayed by the pandemic.
