French Archaeologist: We Found Mummy of a Man Covered with Gold Leaf, Called "Messi"

French archaeologist and one of the expedition of Saqqara Colvis Reossillon said that the mission successful found a mummy of a man covered with gold leaf, called "Messi". 

"This mummy of Messi dates back to 4300 B.C," he told SEE.

"We also unearthed three stone statues dating to the fifth and sixth dynasties of the Old Kingdom and representing a person named Fetek," he added.

Last year, Colvis was a part of an expedition who held a number of excavations next to the pyramid of King Titi I in Saqqara archeological site. 

The expedition is headed by Dr. Zahi Hawass. The excavations resulted in the discovery of burial shafts with coffins and huge archaeological findings from the New Kingdom.
