Olivier Veran, France’s Minister of Health, made a statement today, Thursday, saying that the French government expects a spike in infections with Coronavirus ( known also as COVID-19) within7-10 days.

Olivier pointed out that President Emanuel Macron directed to take much stricter measurements to confront the disease.

The French minister mentioned that the few days to come will see a spike in the number of infections so the government decided to extend restrictions to lock down the whole area surrounding the capital, Paris, and shut down schools for three weeks.

The French government bets on the effectiveness of these measurements to stop that strong epidemical wave.

Experts expect that the restrictive measurement would be lifted as of May 1st.

Veran announced last Wednesday that the French government is ready to take more harsh measurements if the ones in place fail to reduce the infections with  COVID-19.

On his part,  the French President has warned of a dire period facing the authorities that fight the Coronavirus until mid-April.

France’s Premier revealed the country is going through the wave of the pandemic.

The French president announced yesterday, Wednesday, that the government must take another path to confront the Coronavirus lest the country may lose control of infection with the deadly virus.

He declared new measurements to be applied as of next Saturday, April 3.

These new measurements will stay in effect for a month at least.

Macron assured that curfew will continue along with the partial lockdown and internal travel will be reduced.

He pointed out persons will be asked to work at home,    primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will be closed down for three weeks.

He warned the British variant of the Coronavirus created a pandemic inside the pandemic as that variant is the most contagious in the world now.

Macron said that about 44%  of patients of COVID-19  are in the intensive care units in the country are under 65 years.

He considered that France picked the right options so far but within the few recent weeks shipments of the vaccines were delayed and matters changed a lot.
