An archaeological mission found the tomb of of Wahe Ip Ra – Meri Nate, an Egyptian commander, who led foreign soldiers in the late twenty-sixth and beginning of the twenty-seventh dynasty in Abusir, south of Giza, Egypt, shedding light on the earliest forms of "globalization".

Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities said that the main well is 6 meters deep and 14 x 14 meters in size.

On his part, the head of the Czech mission Miroslav Bart, said that the outer sarcophagus is made of two huge blocks of white limestone. He added that preliminary studies conducted on the well cemetery revealed that it had been robbed in late antiquity, probably around the fourth and fifth centuries AD.

A basalt sarcophagus with inscriptions is embedded on the top that includes texts from Chapter 72 of the Book of the Dead.

The mission belongs to the Czech Institute of Egyptology at Charles University.
