Foreign Ministry Follows up Developments Affecting Egyptians in Kyrgyzstan

Egyptian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Nagi Ghaba, along with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Egyptian Embassy, undertook a consular mission to Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, from July 21 to 23. This mission was carried out on the directives of Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to assess the conditions of the Egyptian community and address their consular needs.

During the visit, Ambassador Ghaba met with members of the Egyptian community in Kyrgyzstan, reaffirming that supporting and safeguarding the interests of Egyptians abroad is a top priority for the Egyptian state. He listened to their concerns, requests, and challenges.

Following the community meeting, the ambassador managed the completion of various consular procedures and held discussions with officials from the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry to communicate the community’s concerns, particularly those related to Egyptian students studying at universities throughout the country.

As part of the mission, Ambassador Ghaba also visited a prison where he met with detained Egyptian nationals. He checked on their conditions and discussed with prison authorities ways to ensure their well-being and address their needs.
