Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, met on Friday, July 24, with Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, during his visit to the capital, Manila, to participate in the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting.

During their meeting, Abdelatty conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., emphasizing Egypt's pride in the growing bilateral relations and its keenness to build upon this positive momentum—especially as the two nations celebrate the 80th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations this year.

Furthermore, he commended Egypt's pivotal role in supporting security and stability in the Middle East and its relentless efforts to contain regional crises.
