Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry held talks on Sunday with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid in Brussels.
This came on the sidelines of Shoukry's current visit to Brussels to deliver a message from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
During their meeting, Egyptian FM underlined the need to move urgently towards resolving the current stalemate between the Palestinian and Israeli sides in order to launch just and comprehensive peace negotiations.
It is worth mentioning that, Shoukry is set to hold a number of bilateral meetings with his European Union (EU) counterparts, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez.
