Ahead of its theatrical release, the Blumhouse-produced film adaptation of the popular horror video game series "Five Nights at Freddy's" received a new streaming release date for its Peacock debut.
Universal Pictures changed the Peacock release date of the movie a day earlier than its original schedule, in order to coincide with its advanced Thursday previews.
The live-action film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s is available for streaming on Peacock starring Thursday, October 26 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
Based on Scott Cawthon’s popular horror video game series, "Five Nights at Freddy’s" follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.
It stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard.
Emma Tammi directed the project from a screenplay by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback. The movie’s animatronic characters will be created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
"Five Nights at Freddy’s" is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. Executive producers include Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder, and Christopher H. Warner. Universal Pictures presents a Blumhouse production, in association with Striker Entertainment.
The movie debuts on October 26 on Peacock, followed by its wide theatrical release on October 27.
