Season 2 of Tunisian actress Hend Sabry's hit Netflix TV series "Finding Ola" has been unveiled.
Released by Netflix in February 3, 2022, season one of "Finding Ola" hailed from scriptwriter by Maha El Wazir and Ghada Abd El Aal and directed by Hady El Bagory.
The show made it into the Top 10 worldwide and also came in at number one in the Arab-speaking world for three weeks.
It was influenced by the main characters of the popular 2010 hit TV series “Ayza Atgawez” (I Want to Get Married), which Abd El Aal wrote.
The six-episode series featured Sabry as a middle-class, Cairo pharmacist desperate to get married before she turns 30.
It saw the return of beloved character Ola Abdelsabour (Played by Sabry) after ten years as she navigates life’s many challenges while trying to find the balance between her role as a mother, wife, and entrepreneur.
In keeping with the regionally ground-breaking storyline of the original series, the series followed Ola rebuilding her life following her husband’s shock decision to call time on their marriage, leaving her to bring up their teenage daughters alone.
The role propelled Sabry to household name status across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in the 2010s.
In a first for Sabry, she took on show-running duties, bringing back on board Abdel Aal.
The highly-anticipated season consists of six episodes and will arrive on the giant streamer on Thursday, September 26.
"Finding Ola" Season 2 is a powerful exploration of family, love, and the unyielding strength it takes to face life’s unpredictable blessings-in-disguise.
In the upcoming season, Ola leaves her home city of Cairo and Egypt for at least part of the show.
IIt follows Ola as she navigates the complexities of life with even more resilience and heart.
The official synopsis read:"With Ola’s business on the verge of collapse, this season promises a deeper dive into her world, where every setback is a stepping stone, and every relationship is tested. However, despite the challenges, her heart is tugged at with unexpected twists as her ‘undesired’ business partner, Karim (Dhafer L’Abidine), pushes her to give love a second chance."
Produced by SALAM Prod in cooperation with Partner Pro, "Finding Ola" Season 2 is written by Ghada AbdelAal, Hana Mahmoud, Seif Omar, Zizette Said, Hisham Hamza and supervised by Sabry.
