Film "Tarot" to Premiere in Eid al-Adha Movie Marathon

The release date for Rania Youssef and Somaya El Khashab's latest film “Tarot” has been revealed.

The film is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon.

“Tarot” also stars Mai Selim, Mohamed Ezz, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, and others.

The film also features several guest appearances including, Youssef Mansour, Ahmed El Tohamy, and Mohamed Al Shakankeery.

Directed by Abram Nashat, “Tarot” follows the lives of three girls who are involved in an accident and the impact of the unfortunate incident on their lives.

The film marks the second collaboration between Youssef and El Khashab after 21 years. They first collaborated in the 2001 TV series “A’ilat Al Hajj Metwaly”.

“Tarot” also witnesses El Khashab's comeback to the big screen in 8 years. She made her last onscreen appearance in the 2015 film "El Leila El Kebira".

On the other hand, Youssef recently shot in Dubai her upcoming film "Ward and Rayhan", starring Ahmed El Fishawy.

Youssef, born on December 1, 1973, worked as a model, before her acting career. She made her acting debut in the 1993 TV series "Mermaid".

Her TV credits include "El Haramy" (2020), "Mamlaket Eblis" (2020),"El Ansaa Farah 1" (2019), "Kaeno Embareh" (2018), "Afrah El-Qobba" (2016), "Sabaa' Arwah" (2016), "Leila" (2016), "Ayoon Al-Qalb" (2015), "Elsabaa Wasaya" (2014), "Niran Sadeeka" (2013), "Khatout Hamra" (2012), “Ahel Cairo” (2010), "Harb Al-Jawasis" (2009), “A’ilat Al Hajj Metwaly” (2001), and “Al Nisaa Qadimat” (2001).

Youssef is also best known for her roles in "Haflet Montasaf El-Leil" (2012), and "Alzheimer's" (2010) as well as in controversial roles and starred in many controversial and racy film roles such as “Reklam” (2012), “The Scream of an Ant” (2011), “Wahid Saheeh” (2011), and "Cabaret" (2008).
