Egyptian stars Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Ruby's romance-comedy film "Shalaby" is finally heading to streaming on "Shahid" on Thursday, July 18.
The cast also stars Suleiman Eid, Nancy Salah, Mohamed Radwan, Hatem Salah, and more.

Peter Mimi directed the pic from a screenplay based on his story and a script written by Mostafa Hamdy.
The romance-comedy features musical numbers and sees Ruby as the owner of a hotel and Abdel Aziz as an employee at an amusement park. It follows the pair as they meet and fall while experiencing many surprising and comedic events.
The official description for “Shalaby” states, “For years, Saber has dreamed of quitting his boring job and becoming a marionette show creator. When an adorable nine-year-old girl in his building suffers a trauma and loses her voice, Saber is determined to help her speak again. He gets help from his hilarious and unsuccessful neighbors to give her the show of a lifetime..”.
The film marks the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi after 2019's film "Mousa" and 2022's film "For Zeko".
"Shalaby" was released in theatres on January 4, 2023, with the filmmakers allocating 5% of the revenues to the benefit of Egypt’s biggest children's cancer hospital 57357, which mainly relies on donations.
At the time, the hospital was fighting for survival as the country braced to face the consequences of another possible devaluation of the Egyptian pound and fight to reduce the impact of the global economic crisis.
