The release date for Egyptian singer-actor Tamer Hosny and actress Hannah El Zahed's new film "Restart" has been unveiled.
The film is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon.
The cast also includes Bassem Samra, Mohamed Tharwat, Said Osama also known as Mika, and more.
The pic marks Hosny and El Zahed's third collaboration after the 2022 film “Behabek” and the 2009 TV series “Farq Tawqit”.
It is scripted by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and also reunites Hosny with director Sara Wafik, who helmed his 2021 film "Mesh Ana" and latest film "Tag".
Hosny, born on August 16, 1977, began his career when renowned TV presenter Salma Al Shamaa gave him his lifetime opportunity to perform at the Cairo Opera House.
During his performance, he worked alongside other rising talents including, Sherine Mohamed Abdel-Wahab; the performance was attended by renowned producer Nasr Mahrous.
Ever since, Hosny worked closely with Mahrous and released his first album, which consequently achieved great success and opened the gates of stardom and fame, not only in singing but also in the entertainment industry.
He made his acting debut in the 2004 film “Halet Hob”, co-starring Hany Salama, Hend Sabry, and others.
Hosny is known for singing “Kol Mara”, “Bent El Eh” and “Aktar Haga”, and for his roles in films such as “Omar and Salma” and “Captin Hema”.
The musician performed many shows in Egypt and other Arab countries, including Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Dubai, and Jordan.
