Film "Pershama" to Premiere in Eid Al-Fitr Movie Marathon

The release date for Egyptian actor and screenwriter Hesham Maged's comedy film "Pershama" has been unveiled.

The cast also stars Riham Abdel Ghafour, Bassem Samra, Taha Desouky, Mostafa Gharieb, and more.

Khaled Diab directs the pic from a script he co-wrote with Sherine Diab and Ahmed El-Zaghbi. 

Ahmed El Desouky produced the project alongside SkyLimit Studio, Film Square Productions, and Big Time Fund.

"Pershama" is a satirical social comedy that boldly tackles the issue of cheating in exams, a known phenomenon around the world. It sheds light on how a simple cheating tool like a "Pershama," an unauthorized note to help get answers beforehand, can turn things upside down. 

In the film, Maged portrays a high school student who relies on tricks to succeed. However, on his journey, he clashes with a teacher who is characterized by sharp intelligence and extreme strictness(played by Abdel Ghafour), who dedicates her efforts to uncovering innovative cheating methods and pursuing manipulators.

Maged made his last appearance on the big screen in the 2024 star-studded film "My Wife's Ex" (Merati's Ex).

Maged, born on April 26, 1980, graduated from Cairo University.

During university, he created the Tamr Hendi production company with his friends, which produced films that ridiculed famous Egyptian films.

They created the film “Men who do not know the impossible”, a project that attracted the attention of Mohamed Hefzy, who at the time was trying his hand at production.

Hefzy produced their first TV series, “Afeesh wa Tashbee,h” which cynically tackled Egyptian classics in each episode.

He also produced the trio's 2008 film "Waraqat Shifr,a" which was a big hit at the box office.

Maged starred and scripted the film, which familiarized his face to the audience. He won the award of the “Best New Faces” Award for the year, in participation with his mates Ahmed Sabry and Chico.
