Film "Maqsoum" Features New Songs by Nancy Ajram

Egyptian star-studded film "Maqsoum" will feature new songs by Lebanese recording artist, Nancy Ajram.

Ajram is set to sing promotional songs for the pic, which will be released in conjunction with its premiere on January 18.

The first song is titled “Maqsoum," with the lyrics of Tamer Mahdy and the second track is “Qalb Ya El Mehtas,” written by Menna Al-Qai’i. Both tracks are composed by Ehab Abdel Wahed.

Set in a social comedy-musical backdrop, “Maqsoum” follows the story of a retired singer (played by Laila Elwy), who formed a musical band with Shereen Reda and Samaa Ibrahem back in the 1990s.

The cast also includes Sarah Abdel Rahman, Amr Wahba, and more. Kawthar Younis directs the project from a screenplay by Haitham Dabbour.

The film is co-produced by Film Square Productions, Blue Print Productions, Synergy Films, Magic Beans Productions, Misr International Films, and New Century. Orient Films will distribute the pic overseas.
