Egyptian stars Nelly Karim and Sherif Salama's film "Gawaza Wla Ganaza" has finally landed a new theatrical release date.
The film was initially set to debut on September 1, 2025, but is now set to reach theatres on January 7, 2026.
The cast also stars Lebleba, Adel Karam, Entsar, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Amir Salah El Deen, Donia Maher, and more.
Amira Adeeb directed the film from a script co-written with Dina Maher.
The synopsis for the film reads: "The events unfold in a comedic framework, where a couple is preparing for a perfect wedding. However, things take a dramatic turn when a death occurs, disrupting their wedding plans."
"Gawaza Wla Ganaza" reunites Karim and Salama for the third time after the 2023 film "Happy Birthday" and the 2022 TV series "Faten Amal Harby".
The film marks Karim's comeback to the big screen after a two-year absence.
She made her last cinematic appearance in the 2024 star-studded film “Al Serb" (The Squadron).
"Gawaza Wla Ganaza" is slated to hit theatres in Egypt on January 7 and in the Arab world on January 8.
