The release date for Egyptian stars Asser Yassin and Asmaa Galal's film "Ein Ghab El Ott" has been unveiled.
The cast also includes Mohamed Shahin, Samah Anwar, Carmen Bsaibes, Entsar, and more.
Sara Nouh directs the pic from a script by Ayman Wattar.
The official logline for the film reads, "Zain, a quiet art history professor, is mistaken for a famous thief known as "The Cat" due to their uncanny resemblance. When his fiancée Hind is assigned to restore a valuable painting that "The Cat" plans to steal, Zain gets caught in a whirlwind of danger and comedy. While Hind is drawn to the mysterious thief, Zain is tasked with recovering the stolen artwork — leaving her torn between the two men."
Kay Oh Pictures and Film Square Productions are the studios behind the film, whose international sales are handled by Orient Films.
"Ein Ghab El Ott" arrives in theaters on December 31.
Yassin, born February 25, 1981, began his career on the stage of the American University in Cairo.
He was spotted by Director Khairy Beshara to play his first role in the 2006 TV series "Qalb Habiba", followed by the blockbuster "The Yacoubian Building" in 2007, and landed his first major role in a film "Zay El Naharda" in the following year.
In the same year, he got his big break playing a leading role in the film "El Waad" (The Promise), starring opposite legendary actor and superstar Mahmoud Yassin.
In 2010, Yassin played the leading role in Daoud Abdel Sayed's film "Messages from the Sea", which earned him the Best Actor award at the Carthage Film Festival and Malmö Arab Film Festival.
