A remake of the 1973 rom-com film "Albahth Ean Fediha" (Searching for a Scandal) is in the works.
The remake stars Egyptian actor Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and hails from director Rami Emam, the son of prominent Egyptian actor, “El Zaeem” Adel Imam who starred in the original movie.
"Albahth Ean Fediha" revolves around Magdy, a naive young man who goes to the city to look for a job.
He asks his friend, playboy Samy, to introduce him to women and fall in love with Hanan.
Along the way, Samy impresses Magdy with his tall tales of romantic relationships and gets him into many mishaps in his attempt to woo Hanan, and eventually wins her heart.
The film also starred Mervat Amin, Samir Sabri, Youssef Wahby, Ahmed Ramzy, Emad Hamdy, Mohamed Awad, Zizi El Badrawi, Mohamed Reda, Nawal Abou El Fotouh, Tawfiq El Deqen, George Sedhom, Mimi Shakib, and more.
