A new slew of character posters from the long-awaited star-studded film “Ahl al-Kahf” has been revealed.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Khaled El Nabawy, Ghada Adel, Mahmoud Hamida, Mohamed Farag, Amr Abdel Gelil, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Reem Moustafa, Sabry Fawaz, Abdel Rahman Abou Zahra, Hager Ahmed, Maged El Masry, and more.
It is based on Tawfik el-Hakim’s novel of the same title and is adapted by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and directed by Amr Arafa.
“Ahl al-Kahf” takes place in 250 AD and was shot in three countries: Ireland, Morocco, and Egypt.
The pic revolves around the human struggle against time that is represented by three people who wake after sleeping for over three centuries to find themselves in a different era than the one they previously lived.
The project is considered one of the largest productions in Egyptian cinema, given the cast participating in the pic and the use of the entire action team from London to design the stunts and fight scenes.
"Ahl al-Kahf" is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid Al-Adha movie marathon. United Bros. Studios handles distribution domestically and worldwide.
