Egyptian actress Fifi Abdou is to host the entertainment show "Alf Leila Ma' Fifi Abdou".
The show will see Abdou hosting Arab celebrities and amis to revive folk heritage with a light, modern touch, drawing inspiration from legendary tales.
"Alf Leila Ma' Fifi Abdou" is set to screen on the "MBC Masr" satellite TV channel and the "Shahid" VOD platform during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
Born on April 26, 1953, Atiyat Abdul Fattah Ibrahim, known as Fifi Abdou, is a former belly dancer who joined a folklore troupe at the age of 12 and later worked as a model.
Abdou began to gain attention in the early 1970s when she became the main attraction at the “Arizona”.
She has co-starred in several movies, TV series, and plays. Abdou is known for her roles in play “Hazimny Ya”, TV series “Al-Hakika w Al-Sarab”, TV series “Al-Hakika w Al-Sarab”, and others.
Abdou got married five times and has two daughters and one adopted daughter.
She is one of the most active celebrities in the Arab world on social media, which features belly dancing videos.
