Egyptian film "Feathers" secured four awards at the 32nd Carthage Film Festival (CFF) in Tunisia.

The prizes that the film got are Golden Tanit for Feature Fiction Film, Tahar Cheriaa Prize for, the Best Screenplay Prize by Omar El-Zohairy, and the Best Female Performer by Demyana Nassar.

The fifth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) will screen the award-winning Egyptian film “Feathers” (Reesh) on Sunday.

“Feathers” participated as the main official competition of the festival, after it was awarded Cannes’ Critics’ Week Grand Prize this year.

It represents the story of a mother who lives unchanged, stable life. These passing days and passing hours present nothing new in her life.

Suddenly, she finds out that her husband turned into a chicken during the celebration of her youngest son’s birthday.

All her attempts to get her husband back fail, and she finds herself facing carrying on all her family’s responsibilities.

It is not the first time that GFF screened an Egyptian award-winning film as it previously screened the Egyptian short film “I Am Afraid to Forget You Face – Setashar” that won Palme d’Or at 2020 Cannes last year.
