The NCIS franchise is alive, flourishing, and returning to CBS for more seasons.
"NCIS" has been picked up for Season 24, "NCIS: Origins" will be back for Season 3 and "NCIS: Sydney," which was originally commissioned by Paramount+ Australia, is returning to the network for Season 4.
The renewal comes after the cancellation of "NCIS: Tony & Ziva," marking a notable shift in the procedural franchise's direction.
The Paramount+ spin-off ran for 10 episodes before being officially pulled off the air, signaling CBS’s renewed focus on its broadcast NCIS lineup rather than expanding the series further into streaming-exclusive territory.
Paramount Network also announced its renewal for "Tracker," "Elsbeth," "Matlock", and "Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage" as well as reality staples "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race".
"NCIS", which revolves around special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, stars Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole.
Created by Donald P. Bellisario, "NCIS" is produced by Bellisarius Productions in association with CBS Studios. Steven D. Binder, Chas. Floyd Johnson, Mark Horowitz, Mark Harmon, Scott Williams, David North and Bellisario serve as executive producers.
"NCIS: Origins" follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in the early ‘90s, years before the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Mark Harmon.
It also stars Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez, and Caleb Foote.
Produced by CBS Studios, it is exec produced by David J. North, Gina Lucita Monreal, Mark Harmon and Sean Harmon.
"NCIS: Sydney" is the fifth series in the franchise and follows a team of U.S. NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police as they work together as a multinational task force to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.
It stars Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel and William McInnes. It is produced by Endemol Shine Australia.
