Farouk Hosny Visits Al Khalifa's 'Reality Is Timeless'

Iconic artist, the founder of Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts, and former Minister of Culture Farouk Hosny inspected "Forever Is Now" at the Pyramids, especially the work of the artist Rashid bin Khalifa, "Reality Is Timeless."

Hosny said: "I was pleased to see the distinguished artwork of the remarkable artist Rashid bin Khalifa, entitled “Reality Is Timeless," inspired by the story of the Labyrinth of Ancient Egypt.

I was impressed by a huge, distinctive artwork that creates a state of artistic dialogue between the Pyramids; the language of eternal history, and the contemporary art, emphasizing his mastery in creating a dialogue between his artwork and its interaction with the space surrounding the Pyramids."

He also expressed his greetings to Art D' Egypte and the organizers of the event.

The iconic artist added: "Greetings to Art D' Egypte Foundation, under the leadership of dear Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, who has an insightful contemporary vision for organizing “Forever Is Now” Exhibition. Such a significant artistic event stresses the importance of Egyptian civilization and its power of imagination and creativity."

The event witnessed the presence of several diplomatic, arts, and culture figures such as the Ambassador of Bahrain to Egypt Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, the Ambassador of Italy to Egypt Michele Quaroni, the Ambassador of Colombia Ana Milena Muñoz de Gaviria, businessman Sameh Sawiris, and Rawya Mansour.

The annual international exhibition "Forever Is Now" in its third edition was launched in the area of the Pyramids of Giza and the surrounding plateau. The exhibition is organized and curated by "CulturVator - Art D’Egypte” under the auspices of the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities, Foreign Affairs, Culture, and the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO. 

It brings together 14 artists from the region and various countries worldwide to engage artistically with one of the most iconic historical landmarks, offering contemporary artworks that blend the present with the past, all while echoing history, the land, the environment, and humanity.
