Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts organized on Monday a seminar under the theme of "Reflections on Farouk Hosny Foundation Art Awards for Architecture 2022."
Held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, the event was part of the academy's round of discussions entitled "Beyond Lecture Hall.
The foundation aims to encourage promising architects to present their ideas and revolutionary visions for the future of integral buildings that address the educational, and cultural needs of the society, alongside, supporting the community's target for development, and reflecting its identity.
The Center of Life” is not only a school or cultural center, but also a project that presents various activities linked to primary education, and connected to cultural activities and active interaction.
The Head of the Academy's Department of Architecture Professor Sherif El Fekki, the member of Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts Board Professor Aleya Abd El-Hady, and the award's jury member Professor Sohier Hawas attended the event, alongside the Foundation’s Business Development Manager Riham El-Moghraby, and architect and award's jury member Hamdy El-Setouhy who chaired the discussion.
Also, groups of the academy students and staff members attended the seminar.
During the seminar, the participants made a presentations for their various projects and their visions and ideas beyond them.
Several projects were presented such as Hope Domes, “IL Moltaka,” “Domes of Hope,” “The Center of Life: Luxor” and others.
Also, the participants thanked the foundation for giving them the oppourtunity to express themselves, and giving them the space to introduce revolutionary and creative topics.
