Farouk Hosny Foundation Announces New Prize

Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts and its board of trustees announced a new grand lifetime achievement award dedicated to figures who left wide contributions and deep influences on the scene of arts and culture, the foundation announced in a statement.

Moreover, the board appointed iconic author Mohamed Salmawy to be the chairman of the prize.

Regarding the process of selecting the winner of the prize, the members of the board of the trustees will set voting to select the awarded figure. The total sum of the prize is EGP 100,000.

Farouk Hosny Foundation's Board of Trustees contained several arts and cultural icons such as Dr. Mostafa El Feki, Eng. Naguib Sawiris, Dr. Zahi Hawass, Mohamed Salmawy, Dr. Moamena Kamel, Dr. Aleya Abdel-Hadi, TV Presenter Jasmine Taha, Dr. Hossam Loutfy, Dr. Khaled Sorror, Eng. Abdel Salam Shaier, Enas Luqa, Wael El Semery, artist Ehab El Labban, Ahmed El Dabe', and Tamer Ouf.

It is worthy to mention that the third edition of the foundation art awards opened the doors for receiving participants.

They can submit their projects through the official website of the Farouk Hosny Foundation until November 1. The contests will take place in different five competitions: Painting, Sculpture, Art Critique that dedicated to Fine Arts, Architecture, and Photography.
