Legendary artist Farouk Hosny, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts, and trending businessman Naguib Sawiris, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts, inaugurated the sixth annual Art Awards Ceremony and the Art Awards Exhibition for Youth.
The event took place at the Gezira Art Center, with a large attendance of board members, jury panelists, renowned artists, critics, and prominent figures from the cultural sector, including senior officials from the Ministry of Culture.
Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Zahi Hawass, thinker Dr. Mostafa El Feki, former Minister of Health Dr. Sameh Farid, writer Mohamed Salmawy, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, head of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, Engineer Mohamed Abu Saada, head of the National Organization for Urban Harmony, Engineer Hamdy El Sattouhi, head of the Cultural Development Fund, and director Walid Aouni.
Acknowledgments and Opening Address
In his opening remarks, Hosny expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture for its ongoing support, which has elevated the foundation's standing in the creative community.
He also thanked the media for their continuous coverage and appreciation of the foundation's efforts to discover, nurture, and present emerging young talent to society. Hosny extended his heartfelt thanks to the Board of Trustees for their dedication to strategic planning, which has significantly contributed to the foundation's success, and to the jury members for their meticulous evaluations.
The exhibition's inauguration was accompanied by a classical music performance, followed by the awards ceremony, skillfully hosted by media personality Jasmin Zaki.
The ceremony featured a short documentary titled The Story of the Award, celebrating the journey of the foundation’s prizes.

Grand Merit Award
Winner: Artist Mohamed Mandour
Salmawy, the Secretary General of the award, praised Mandour's exceptional contributions to Egyptian art. Mandour seamlessly blends the heritage of ancient Egyptian, Coptic, and Islamic art with contemporary aesthetics, creating a rare harmony between tradition and modernity.
Art Criticism Award
