Farouk Hosni Exhibition Opened at Aisha Fahmy Palace

The exhibition of the artist Egyptian great artist Farouk Hosni was opened at Aisha Fahmy Palace in Zamalek on Tuesday.

The exhibition includes 62 artworks from the latest creations of the great artist Hosni. Dr. Amal Nasr, Professor and Head of the Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University prepared the critical study of the displayed artworks.

Ehab El-Labban, director of the Arts Complex, said that the exhibition contains the latest productions of the Hosni between 2018 and 2019.

In this exhibition, Hosni returns to the college, an experience he used in the 1980s, in the vicinity of his abstract experience, which he worked on presenting through his great artistic history, as the exhibition continues until March 24, 2020.

Hosni's paintings enjoy great interest by art lovers as well as by scholars and researchers. Michel Noiridensay, the French critic wrote in the newspaper "Le Figaro" about Hosni's experience saying: "Like the poet, Farouk Hosni makes less investment in the floor space, in order to melt into Imagination fun and reality, to give without distinction colors, lines, fumes, zigzags or deep lines, scribbles, small exclamation marks, very bright spots, sliding surfaces.

The opening ceremony was attended by students of the Faculty of Arts: Artist George Bahjoury, Artist Laila Elwi, Artist Elham Shaheen, Artist Yahya Al-Fakhrani, media personnel Lamis Al-Hadidi, Amr Moussa, Minister Munir Fakhry Abdel-Nour, Dr. Zahi Hawass, Artist Hussein Fahmy, Engineer Naguib Sawiris, Artist Hani Shenouda, Dr. Mahmoud Abaza, Former Minister of Local Development Hisham Sharif, the French ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Mustafa Hijazi, the writer Farida Al-Shubashi and other Egyptian popular figures.
