Assyrian-Syrian singer Faia Younan has recently joined the cast of Syrian actor Taim Hassan's TV series “Tag”.

The project hails from director Samer Barqawi and is a romance-suspense series taking place between the fifties and sixties.

It also witnesses Hassan collaborating with veteran Syrian actor Bassam Kousa for the first time in 14 years. They previously collaborated in TV productions "Zaman Al'ar" (2009) and "Al-Intzar" (2006).

“Tag” consists of 15 episodes and is set to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.

Last month, it was reported that Younan was expanding from behind the mic to a role on the small screen.

Younan has finished filming her role in the series, which is set to premiere in the coming period. The untitled series is a romance-comedy and features several musicals by the singer.

Younan has opened up about her acting debut, saying: "I embarked on this experience out of my strong love for art,".

The singer was quick to pressure fans that singing remains her first passion.

"Acting is exhausting and more tiring than singing, but I enjoyed it a lot," she added.
