The teamwork of “Silat Rahim” thanked the Islamic preacher Sheikh Khaled El-Gendy through the series’ title for his special presence within the events, especially the third episode, with actor Eyad Nassar.

Through a four-and-a-half-minute scene, Sheikh El-Gendy highlighted the religion’s opinion on surrogacy. That’s what the series discusses through a story of a man who refuses the idea of failing to have a family.

Sheikh El-Gendy confirmed that surrogacy is forbidden according to Sharia law, for it leads to intermixing of genealogical lines.

He criticised “Hussam”, the man of science and doctor, for thinking that way. During those moments, he highlighted the difference between Sharia, revealed in the Holy Quran, and Fatwas that are changeable.

Sheikh El-Gendy also mentioned multiple Quranic verses that prove this prohibition.

Through the scene, Nassar raised the questions that anyone would think about, as well as the doubts that anyone who wishes to be a father may face. However, many things prevent this from happening.

Sheikh El-Gendy explained the answers to all questions, including the meaning of afflictions, the difference between fate and destiny, the role of man in life, and the necessity of his pursuit. Ultimately, he must be satisfied with Allah’s will.

Although Sheikh El-Gendy explained everything to Hussam “Eyad Nassar”, he wasn’t convinced and started searching for a womb.
