Jewelry designer, Wahad Samir, will open her exhibition “Wamadat” at Isis Hall at Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center, next Thursday.
The exhibition will be held under the supervision of Nevin Al-Kilani, the Minister of Culture, and Khaled Sorour, the Head of the Plastic Arts Sector. The exhibition will continue from October 27 to November 6, 2022.
Samir is a professor of ornaments, clothing, and fashion accessories at the Higher Institute of Applied Arts, and specializes in Egyptian heritage, fashion, jewelry, and handicrafts, in addition to her role in the manufacture of ornaments, clothing, and pieces used in decoration through scrap recycling and the owner of the scrap Bab Rizk project.
She is a member of the National Council For Women, Cairo branch, in addition to her work within the Committee of Inspections and Appraisal as an expert on jewelry at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
She participated in more than 100 exhibitions inside and outside Egypt.
